Yep just start the wipers, turn key to off when they are at mid wipe so the arms and blades are fully exposed. Reach in and detach wiper assembly from the wiper arm - its a little spring loaded clip that holds the assembly onto the hooked end of the wiper arm. Then carefully take the rubber insert off the wiper blade assembly and replace with a new insert. Slight learning curve may take 10-15 minutes, but once you have replaced the wiper rubber once you can do it again the next time in a couple of minutes per side.
Buy the wiper inserts from Lexus they will fit right and last a long time. Don't buy 3rd party inserts.
And never buy the 3rd party Brand x (rainx, bosch, etc) entire blade assembly to replace the Lexus OEM blade assembly. The non-OEM Brand X blade assemblies are generic similar sized units that will likely never work as well or be as quiet as the Lexus blade assembly. The Lexus OEM assembly was designed to precisely fit the exact dimensions and curvature of the LS windshield. That exact fit can make a huge difference in the performance of the wiper.

I agree with Jabberwock. Non-OEM blades never seem to work as well. I recently replaced all the blades on my Toyota Sienna. I used OEM Toyota parts have have made my wife very happy with their quiet operations. The previous batch were from Walmart and they were noisy and bounced across the windshield.

my wipers blades always seem to be stuck on the arms too. so when i am replacing them i have to get them in the right position, hold that little tab down, and then smack the shiz out of them to get them to slide off the arm.
--the first time i was replacing them on my LS the autozone guy came out side who had been watching me struggle with them for like at least 5-10 mins (in their parking lot) and he struggled with it for a min and i was all proud inside to see him struggle too, then he smacked it and it came off... well i felt like a douche but now i know how to do it
