Not trying to be an ****, but saw lots of irony in this post.
If I was sure that I did it completely correctly, then I would have had no problem documenting and sharing it.

The problem is that I may have done something incorrectly which could possibly cause someone following my method to mess up their car or get an injury, and I felt uncomfortable in showing "my way" which could be not the best way or badly wrong.

There is also the safety factor involved.

That is why I made multiple requests for detailed instructions from the Lexus repair manual to be sure.

I hate that you see irony here.

I don't.

I am attempting to share my experience, not my method.

I'm sure you understand.

And I'm not trying to be an **** either.

Alan - Thanks for sharing your experience. It is good to know that the bearings may go out around 152K - every bit of anecdotal info like this can help someone in the future. I personally have saved hundreds of $ by using these boards. Every contribution like yours can be very valuable. If I had a manual I would have sent you the pages in question. I am not sure if an online repair manual or pdf of it is available.

BTW, for future reference, anyone can print out pages of any of the toyota/lexus service manuals for $12 per day. Do a search under Toyota Material Distribution.
