You think this will buff out??
Got into a little hit and run today. Parked head in diagonally with 6 other cars, as I was about to pull out, an older town car comes whipping around the corner and scraped right into my car. It was such an easy jolt that I thought it was nothing. The car kept going, most likely not even realizing that he hit me. I saw the side of his car and it was scratch from the front fender to the doors and then the rear quarter panel. I got witnesses that saw it all too. We all thought the guy was going to stop but he continued on. We're all like " Is he going to stop?", and "maybe he'll come back". No luck. Off to get an estimate and its $1,200. Basically, bumper, molding, sensor and paint. luckily, this will be covered under uninsured motorist but I still have to pay deductible, oh well.

Geez Dave sorry to see that happen to your LS. Some people really do not have any respect for other folks property. Shame you didn't get the plate number but sometimes parking lots have camera systems installed for the local stores they serve.
Anyways hope she gets fixed up soon for you and safe driving to you!!

You can do it at home and buff it right out (at least 90%) with a lot cheaper than that (probably cheaper than your deductible) but I would let the dealer/insurance take care of that. Your impact absorber might be bad and it will hurt more should accident happen again.
Also, deductible for hit and run is cheaper than your 'regular' deductible. You should mention that to your insurance.

Thanks all. If I get a police report, which I have done, it will fall under uninsured motorist and my deductible is only $100 Kind of two birds with one stone as I had some cosmetic scratches from the previous owner who must of dragged stuff out of the trunk. With a new bumper cover and paint, it'll be brand new again. I'm going to have the body shop save the backup sensor for me as it seems like it still work, so it would nice to have a spare, never know when I may need one

damn that sucks, old people suck
At what age does one suck? There are many "old" people who are not a problem and there are more "youngsters" that cause way more damage than this. Age has nothing to do with it - It is all about being aware of your surroundings. If you can't be aware of your surroundings, you don't need to be driving at 60, 70, 80 or 25.
