Clicking noise on my 04 LS430.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone know what this clicking noise is. The clicking noise only happens when I reverse my car and then go forward. I don't know where it's coming from but it sounded exactly like "click click" or caulking a gun sound. Thanks in advance.

Click on this post above. Buddy of mine had a similar issue with his GS400 but not while going in reverse but the cure might be the same.
Let us know when you get it resolved.

Thats actually your pads moving. Its normal on our cars, however, if it gets VERY loud you can apply some lubricant to damp down the noise to the shims. Sometimes brake shops forget to put the shim kit back on after a brake job, and you end up hearing all kinds of squeaks and clicking.

Yes, correctly stated (GRAND LS 4).
It's common on pretty much all Lexus, Toyotas and Scion vehicles. the "clacking" noise when reversing than putting into drive, is from the brake pads shifting within the caliper bracket. The only way to minimize the noise is to add brake grease/lube (p/n: 08887-80609).
Keep in mind though, that this is not a permenant fix. It's just to help minimize your concern. Some noise is normal.
