ok... not that i don't believe you, but other than you saying it's superior, why is it better? at the very least it's cheaper than the td version...

Hi,

We have tested the ballast used in that kit and have found a couple of things:

1) The ballast is extremely power hungry meaning that you will find more often that not that your lights will not ignite simultaneously (regardless if you use a relay harness or not).

2) The ballast is not as efficient as our Volt ballast meaning that lifespan will be much shorter.

3) In truth, I can't really tell anything about the bulbs as it's hard to tell from that pic.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Those with this mod, did you run power directly from the battery or just through the stock harness? I read in this thread that the stock harness is not designed to send enough power to the ballast durning startup.

I connected to the stock harness. I dont think you should have any problems. Mine fires up right away. I have a 35w morimoto 9006 hid set. Its plug and play. Maybe if you ran a 55w hid setup.

As long as its a low draw ballast than you shouldn't have any issues connecting to the factory harness directly.

Thanks Danny. I was considering this kit from Amazon. Any comments on quality or the power draw. I realize it's not from your company but the price is good.

Unfortunately because am not familiar with the product I won't be able to accurately say if they are good or not.

Ok after some serious research through various threads I have made the decision to post here for my foglight SWITCH question.
I am trying to make the foglights switch independent from all the lights using the oem switch on the column and have a 04 430UL. Any links to mod diy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
