Audio System Problem on 2001 Model
I have a 2001 LS 430. My battery died a few days ago and I replaced it myself - now the radio doesn't work. Has anyone else had this problem? The local dealerships all want me to bring in the car for diagnostic testing and charge me $133+ for this. I think it might be a security feature built in to the audio system as a theft deterrent, in which case I'm not paying for this to be corrected. Any thoughts? All help is appreciated!

I have a 2001 LS430 and the radio recently cut out as well. The car is still under extended warranty. The dealer tried replacing the amplifier as well as some other parts....but nothing fixed it. Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

Change the battery on my 01 UL and there is no security code for audio. The navigation had to acquire signal, which only took a couple of seconds and when the vehicle was first started everything was in japanese, nut switch to english within a minute. Take it into dealer and get it checked by the experts!!!
