Bought my '01 UL with 98K on it a year and a half ago, just clicked 105K this week. Did TB/ WP just because it was the only maintenance I couldn't find documentation for, even though once I did it, the shop said it looked like it had been changed small price to pay to have very little to worry about with regard to major maintenance for another 60K+ I also did the o2 sensors due to the infamous sensor 1 bank1 code, and I replaced the destroyed ML sub with a Kicker8".. people think it's much newer than the 14years old that it is...they are really great cars...I thought so even when I didn't own one, which is why I now do LOL

My 2001 LS 430 is gone. Bought with 97K traded in at 248K.
Couldn't clear the VSC light and gas filler took 5 minutes a gallon. Toyota dealer was clearly over his head. Found a LS 460 with 70K and traded it in. AutoNation BMW dealer was motivated to sell as I got to the vehicle before the AutoNation Lexus dealer knew BMW had it.
Get a GREAT deal.
The LS 460 is beautiful.

I could not get the Check VSC light to go out and the Toyota dealer that I went to pressurized my fuel system that made it smell like gasoline and clogged up the fuel filler so that I could only put in a gallon every 5 minutes. My LS430 had 250,000 miles on it. I would have liked to drive this car longer but I was beginning to see $$$ for repairs.
I drove the car to a dealer that had a 2007 LS460 they had just gotten in on a trade with only 70,000 miles. I drove out in the LS460.

I have had my 2004 LS430 since I bought it new in 2004. It has 42K miles on it, as it is not driven in Winter. It stays in Garage from Nov. through April. I really have not had any real problems, just brakes and tires. However, I was told that the left front strut was leaking oil. I am usually a "stock" or OEM Guy but, who makes the best quality replacement struts for these? I and the mechanics look over and under the car last year and was told that it looks like about a year-old car underneath and new inside and exterior. I had this done because I had a 2003 LX470 also for a winter car, which I had bought at a year old with 19K on it. Always took great care with it and washed it if we used it on salted roads etc. both top and bottom. This car looked like new on inside and exterior also. However, the frame and all the lines were rusted bad! I ended up giving it to the auction house last year with 48K miles on it for less than $10,000.00 and I will never get over that! It really ticked me off.
That was my second LX470 and this is my third sedan of the 400 series.

Well I hit 200K yesterday on 2001 base lifetime Colorado car, 2nd owner, can't say enough good things about this car other than the rust coming through on the doors just above the trim, yes Lexus if you are watching it's an issue!
I bought it just over 2 1/2 years ago with 122K, do all of my own maintenance. Nothing has broke (note me knocking on wood) no major issues just maintenance items, brakes, plugs, 2 sets of Michelin tires, rotate and balance every 5K, flushed trans, 180K timing belt with water pump, radiator all timing and serpentine idlers.
I use whatever synthetic is on sale with the high end Fram filter, change every 5K. Regular unleaded averaging 22.5 MPG and 48MPH for at least the past year on Colorado blended fuels. Plan on driving it until it breaks beyond economical to repair or something better comes along. If anyone knows what the something better might be let me know besides a later model year.

Just got my first 1,000 miles on this car and loving it; 39,600 when I bought it.
