Default Best bang for the money

Hey Guys,

What do you reccomend I do, considering I have about $400.00 to spend on car stuff right now. I want more HORSEPOWER haha, Should I buy an intake, or exhaust work?

If exhaust work.....keep in mind I have already taken the 2 mufflers nearest to the middle of the car off.

Oh well, let me know!

i would give up on an AIr intake.. if u want HP. go with exhaust.. or perhaps rebuilding your TC to 2800 rpm stall

400 is notin for me

for mods i've spent....

1100 for wheels
250 for shocks
250 springs
190 shock mounts
150 shock insulators and bumpers
90 for lower ball joints

and these are just for suspension.. the list goes on.. i must really love this car to spend this much

The exhaust sounds wonderful! Should I do the modified air intake? With this give me a little bit more power? What will the torque converter with the stall speed give me?

Geez, I know

TC will give a faster time off the line and acceleration, but burn gas

intake will give u more top end HP but less low end plus a mean sound

How much faster are we talking here? Will a feel a difference? How long will it take to install? Thanks so much!

TC will only give you an overall acceleration, you should ask lextreme in his forum, I've seen u in there

as far as teh airbox. that will only give about 3-4 Hp for the top end... TC wont affect HP at all, just gives your car a faster response to shifting and whatnot... however it will kill your gas.. I'm cautious of doing this even though it is teh OEM TC that is modified, I still dont want possible tranny work in the future.. eventhough they say its ok, you still never know especially if its going to be a daily car..

just face it, this car is way too heavy for anything like that, unless you buy a S 55 AMG and want to burn all the luxury sedans out there in its class.. Lexus pretty much cant compete to the performance of BMW or MB. however, the luxury aspect outperforms the Germans

Br1an would have to agree with me. Hid's would make your car look soo much better at night and the difference is night/day....
