IF you can do it all over again LS or GS?
I've posted similar question on the GS forum. Also want LS forum opinion.
Looking to replace my wife's 93 525 with maybe a 2000-ish GS400 or LS400
IF you could do it all over again would it be a GS or a LS since the use car pricing are similar on the 2 models. Thanks.

Yellow,
As an owner of both an LS and GS, posted a response in the GS forum question you had.
I thought I'd also suggest you read the posts at the top of each forum "Why would you buy an XXX" that really contains the pros/cons of each car.

another angle
I have been watching both GS (98 + 400's only) and LS for about six months to see pricing trends. It looks to me like option for option, the LS is cheaper by a couple of thousand dollars. The GS looks better, in my opinion, with aftermarket wheels and/or a body kit, than a modded LS does. And you can, of course go completely insane with braces, coil-overs, etc for the GS while they are much more difficult to find for the LS.
My two cents -- leaving it stock or close to stock? Go for the LS Want to mod for show or go? Go for the GS.
Peace,
GA400

I had a 93 LS prior to my current 99 GS. If I am in the market for another Lexus sedan, I would buy another GS. There are more aftermarket parts for the GS. GS is faster and looks sportier than the LS. Although I am not going to the test the top speed of Lexus V8, just don't like the 130mph limiter on the LS430 that can cost more than $70K.

i have a GS430 and dad has a LS400. let me tell you...the LS quality is simply unbeatable, after lets say 3 years run. LS is still as solid as it can be but GS is not as solid in my point of view compare to LS
of course if u want sport/some luxury go for GS, if u want Luxury comfort/solidity, definately go for LS!
