Air Suspension - LS400 1998 210,000 miles
One morning the right side of my car, the wheel well was all the way down on the tire. I was able to put it in the High ride setting, start it up, and then the wheel well raised up off the tire.
Dealer looked at it and said I need to replace the one air strut and the cost is almost $2,000. They said regular non-air struts wouldn't work because my car has a self-leveling feature.
I've read that others have used replacement non-air struts, but I'm not sure that would work given the leveling feature.
Looking for any ideas.

The air suspension can be disconnected if going to a coil spring set-up. There is this thread in the 430 section on the conversion process:
