Its because the price was low, or they decided to keep it from all the morons test driving it! (not saying its you)
There are lots of mint LS400's out there, just be patient! shame you guys aren't in Canada, you can get totally unreal hardly driven Celsior's all day from Japan for 5000$ (20k miles)
Not mine of course, but thats because I wanted a black car and am a moron.

Down here we have to pay through the nose for the 20K mile time-capsule examples. Look at this listing - the car looks amazing, but the asking price is ridiculous:

They seem to be counting on a lot of suckers. Their business looks to be about finding pristine 90s-ish cars and asking ridiculous prices for them. Their listings are full of gorgeous old BMWs, Mercedes, Land Crusiers/LX450s that look like they just came off the showroom floor. Not many actual sales though at those prices.

LOL 20k! mmm they have lots of time capsule Celsiors driven by ancient chinese people that are perfect! they're just usually in white or tan or one of those colors, so I just couldn't find a great color in time capsule form.
I also fear getting a car that had sat for years or more, which is often the case in Japan.
Good luck with your search! there are so many great condition LS400's babied by their mature owners, you will find one if you are patient for SURE!
