success at last.... bought new FOB KEY off ebay 24.95
had Park place cut it 25.00
and service flash/program it to my LS 55.00

it now locks and unlocks plus opens trunk as it should

hi, i got the same issues with both of my 98's.

Main Car: FOB Working fully (poor range), buttons are hard to press but all buttons are working. Alarm goes on if i use the key on the driver door.
Second Car: Only Lock working with FOB. Led is flashing if other buttons are pressed but nothing is happening. Unlock and Trunk wie FOB not working. Alarm goes also on if key is being used on the driver door.

Does a new key really solve the problem?!
