A/c + Fuel Consumption LS400 95
Greeting all,
I post the same thread in us.lexusownersclub mistaken it with this forum cuz of the old membership there
anyway there is no harm with extra help
Whenever I turn on the A/C the rpm rise as the compressor start which is normal... but somehow it delivers the power to the wheels also
in short: compressor click = race pedal automatically activated
I hardly feel it when I pass 65 kph (40 mph) but under that it's really annoying.... especially here in Bahrain where is the longest drive without braking never exceed 15 minutes which is very rare
I one let it go from 0 kph with the a/c on... once the compressor clicked I released the brake and it's almost reached 30 kph (18 mph)
+
fuel economy
I used to get about 14 - 16 L/100KM (16 - 14 mpg) estimated
but now 20 - 25 L/100KM (11 - 9 mpg)
Note: the fuel economy is a fresh issue but the ac is as old as my driving licence

transmission is fine
I bought the kit to change the gear oil last week but didn't have the chance to do it
i'll try to change it before sunday and give you guys the feedback
also I'm thinking of replacing the coolant temperature sensor for that matter

only aftermarket tools on it are the a/c filter and interior LEDs
both the kit and sensor cost me $178.515 (OEM)
our dealer is #@%$#%$^%
I'll need to replace the brake pads soon which will cost over $217.507 here
but i'll order them from UAE for $131.300

here is an update guys
so I replaced the coolant temperature sensor two days ago
but haven't notice any changes yet... but I'll keep posted
although the old sensor was fragile (almost powdery) it's even broke in the head
still there is the gear oil to be changed but no time really
