Polished or all black? (Wheels)

Polished or all black? (Wheels)
Ok so lately I've been really missing the all black look on my wheels. They used to be painted flat black but I striped the paint off and polished the lips with gloss centers. I like both looks and really cant decide. If I had the money I would have two sets of wheels.
What do you guys think?

If you kept the OE chrome bumper trims, i wold say "all black" since your exhaust tips have some contrast.
With the wheels all black and no trims, the exhaust looks out of place.
Just for keeping things "balanced" I'd suggest leave them black/polished.
Bring back the chrome trim, then all black!

the murdered look had been played out for years now.
However, black centres and polished lips is a great way of cheapening the look of any wheels... makes them like like $50 pep-boys specials....
personally i would do neither and look at another option... maybe polished centres and black lips or something different all together. but all of that seems like a major step in a different direction with where your car is at and what those wheels would allow.
if it were my car, which it is not, i'd probably do a diamond cut face with an anthracite lip for the wheels, and bring back the chrome bumper trims to offer a nice contrast with the wheels and exhaust tips.

Sounds like I might be the only one that thinks the chrome trim makes the car really show its age. That is how I feel about the chrome trim. I hate chrome anything. Polished wheels are about as flashy as I will get. I come from a hotrod lifestyle if that explains anything. My last project before my Lex was a ratrod....
As far as the wheels go. I have to work with what I got. I'm now a broke college student. I feel like the flat black wheels had more depth.

Hey, don't get me wrong, i love me a good ratrod.
I just think their needs to be something to break up the monotone flat black look... Be it some chrome trim, some pin striping or maybe some sort of bomber/fighter/etc paint job to add a little extra pizzaz and visual separation. from there, you can do pretty much anything with the wheels.
Stripping the wheels and doing silver spokes with high polished lips would look great if you did something to break up the look of the body.
IMHO at least.

black centers polished lips
time to bring it back. Nowadays everyone wants some flashy color or neon. If thats not you the simple and always classy aluminum looks good on everything. The murdered out set up looks good too regardless its not played out. Itwas great a few years ago and died out. I say i like both set ups.

That would make for a very unique LS

Personally, I like all black. I agree that the polished lip makes the car show its age. It just makes the wheels stick out too much and makes you look at the body lines of the car too much.
Where as all black makes the car blend and makes it seem like they belong there.
