Default dash lights acting wierd.

Here's a good one! The other night, I started my 1995 ls400 and the ABS light was on, the Trac off light was blinking slowly, and whenever I accelerated, the battery light would flicker and then come on all together. The car sat for a couple of hours and then drove fine for 2 days. Today, the batterynid dead. any ideas? and it's not the alternator.

bad battery and/or dirty or bad battery terminals and/or alternator is most likely

get a new battery (not refurbished, or your old one charged up, but brand new from the store) then clean terminals (including where + side bolts to cable), and then take voltage readings across the battery with car off, --- then with car on, headlights on, at idle, ---- and then car on, headlights on, at 2000 rpm --- and post the voltages here and show us it's not the alternator.

I have been a master installer in the auto electronics industry for over 25 yers and have never seen a failing alternator cause dash light wierdness. When I get to the bottom of this issue, i will post the solution.
