Default Nakamichi Stereo sound fading only to front left - fixed

The issue seems to be some connectors getting loose inside the unit.

There are plenty of other threads with pictures for taking the stereo out so I'm not attempting the pictures and all. (also I;m not very good at the picture taking part).

The centre console has to be taken out and also the centre vents. It's done with a prying tool or a screwdriver with tape on it to prevent scratching. I was quite intimidated at first but its quite easy and I didn't cause too much damage (couple of scratches).

I disconnected the battery - negative lead first
For the centre console, gear lever down to lowest position. pry screwdriver into side and and lever the wood panel up. Everything just pulls out, 3 cables to be disconnected.

The centre vents can also be levered out. Lots of cables to be disconnected.

The head unit is covered up by steel panels using lots of screws to hold it all together.

Once you open up the head unit, their is a separate circuit board for the Balance, Fader, Bass, Treble and Mid.

There are two wide flat plastic cables between this board and the main board - coloured brown and blue. There should be a picture - you can see the brown one sticking out a bit. These are the ones that got loose. Once seated nicely, the sound has been just perfect.

Thanks for the encouragement. I wish the other photos had come out but the focusing needs work!
