Removing intake manifold
#4
Hey Lee ,
I wouldn't screw around with it if I were you.
If you don't get it right when you put it back
you can end up with a "vacuum problem" causing
a bad fuel/air ratio. Just my 2 cents worth.
Being a mechanical engineer doesn't mean I'm a mechanic.
I've done some work in the past on diff cars from tune ups
to dropping trannys, but fuel delivery components I don't
like to mess with especially with no performance gain.
If you are brave enough, there is a "TRICK" to shimming
the throttle body position sensor to effect some gain on
performance. But too much and it WILL cause havoc on the
tranny and fuel /air , etc.
It was posted on a SITE called LADMAN LEXUS
a few years past. I don't know what ever happened to him.
But I think he was out of the DC area, too bad he was good.
