1993 LS400 Factory Alarm
#2
Mine is a 1990 and it does not do it either. I think that's how it is supposed to be.
However, there is wiring for everything, so if you were to go with an aftermarket remote door locking sender/receiver, you could have that and anything else you wanted, except you (or whoever is installing it for you) would have to tap into those connections. I was thinking I would like to be able to hear where my car is for instance at the airport, but the only connection is in the steering column so it's a bit of work as the receiver is normally in the trunk, right behind the antenna motor.

My 92 remote stopped working so i had a aftermarket put in. Just a remote entry system that works with the factory alarm. So now i have light flash and horn honk when i arm it. Cost about 140 installed.
