I didn't really intend to join, but I couldn't pass up the deal on such a nice car - a '95 with over 236,000 miles on it.

Best I can tell, the weakest link on this one is the torn leather drivers seat. Any tips on getting the leather covered or reupholstered?

very nice car, hopefully the timing belt has been replaced at that high of a mileage. best way to fix a torn seat is to remove it and have it professionally reupholstered. some glues and patch kits look tacky to me.

how much was the car, if you don't mind disclosing?

I suppose it's not too surprising that it came with lots of service records, The timing belt was replaced sometime after 200,000 miles. Lots of things have been replaced on it. It runs like new and the suspension feels great. I have noticed that "throttle jerk" issue. That's what brought me to the forum. According to the service records, the production date on this car is 04/01/95.

yes, travel to the closest city with a high Mexican population and find the upholstery shop! - Too bad you are not out west!

Mexicans are the masters of upholstery, just like Vietnamese are the masters of fancy fingernails on the women. Ya go with the pros!
