First of all if your car indeed has the air suspension I will recomend you keeping it. It ride a lot better then regular suspension type. I see you are in TX, if you in Dallas area you can contact Davenport Lexus in Plano, I bet they will give you a lot lower quote than Lexus dealer and they will help you verify if you have air suspension or not.

False Alarm
Turns out that I don't have the air suspension, in an effort to quiet what I supposed was a noisy bushing, I sprayed silicone all over every piece of suspension rubber I could see.
The mechanic just figured that I was blowing Hydraulic fluid everywhere. When I told them about the silicone, they looked again and told me that I didn't have "Air" after all. I still need 2 new front struts but at a price of $800.00 VS $2600.00 that ain't so bad.
They say the lower ball joints need replacing too, (Warranty Item, thank goodness) So tomorrow I'll let them do it all I guess, just can't stand the squeak in front. Squeak is in passenger side and the drivers side seems to sit about 1/2 inch lower, so I guess maybe they have a point that both should be replaced.
Still, car only has 54,000 miles and this seems like pretty early for this kind of repairs on such a fine, and, expensive car, doesn't it seem too soon to you all? Could the "Warrantied" lower ball joints cause the struts to fail prematurely?
Give me your opinions, please.

And they want $ 800 just for the 2 front struts? , that sound too much. Park Place Lexus in Plano want $ 1300 for all 4 struts on my 95 LS 400 and I still think that too much. I found a web site that sell the OEM trut for $ 55 each and labor will run around $500 to $ 600 to get them installed at Davenport Lexus in Plano. Davenport is not a dealer, they are Lexus specialist shop. I will received the truts tomorow and I will let you know
