I've actually had this problem for a while. The two bolts in the rear of the oil pan just keep spinning so the oil pan doesn't seal. This has caused a leak bit over time but it has sealed itself over more time to the point that it's not a problem and i keep a jug of oil in the trunk. Now I'm ready to flush the cooling system plus the oil so i figure this its a good time to fix things. I'm thinking a regular tap set should collect this or some kind of insert. What do you guys think? Should i attempt this or just find a shop this take care of it? Money and time is an issue for now since I'm in the process of a major make over for the car. All responses are welcome.

you're talking about the lower oil pan right? I would pull the bolts to see if it's the bolts that are stripped or the aluminum upper oil pan (probably the pan). If you're comfortable with installing a helicoil then it's a good way to go, otherwise you may need a shop, since if you screw it up too bad and need to replace the upper oil pan, the motor or subframe need to come out.
