'98 LS400 Low Beams
Didn't see anything in lighting or electrical FAQ about low-beam headlights on the '98 LS400. I know they are D2R bulbs, but all I can find for replacements are Sylvania's which are all standard 35W replacements. Know of any other brands/options out there which give the low-beams a better look? Mine look yellowish compared to the super white factory HID headlights. Thanks.

Well now you got me thinking. Yes, I have HID, but I don't think the "parking lights" come on automatically. For example, when I turn the car on in the morning, in my garage, it's dark until I turn the switch one click forward. Then the instrument lights come on as well. Maybe I am not explaining this correctly?

Thanks for the input everyone. After a little closer inspection here is what I found: standing in front of the car if you look in the upper right corner of the outer light housing (where the HID low-beam is) you will see a small bulb poking out. These were the lights I was referring to. And yes, they are standard halogen
5w wedge bulbs which explains the "yellow" look. Popped those out and quickly and replaced them with some spare LEDs I had. Looks soooo much better now. So for the record, this '98 does NOT have DRL, it does have HID low-beams, 9005 bulbs for high-beams and an overall unsual light setup (see my previous thread about the non-functioning cornering lights). Cheers.
