Dash issues.... Gurus chime in
I own a 1990 LS400 and I've ben having dash issues.
- When I hit the brakes the reverse dash light lights up
- The odometer does'nt work
- The tach does'nt move
- The fuel level doesnt register
I did a searchon the forum which convinced me to look into the wiring near the truck hinge and found this...
They were both completely broken. I repaired them but have'nt had time to test drive the car. The Reverse dash light doesnt light up when brakes are applied anymore. However I can tell in idle that the tach needle still isnt working
Can someone tell me what these wires do?
Black with white stripe
Light green
What should I look into to reapir the tach and get the odometer working again?

check the wires all the way up and back from the hinge to make sure there arent any more issues. once properly repaired, check all the fuses in the driver side footwell and engine bay fuseboxes.
all problems will go away.
