Coming back to owning an LS after an es330
hey all
Looks like I am in the market for a clean 1991-2001 LS 400!
If any of you remember, I had myself a 1991 ls400 with 165K for 7 months that I found and restored in 2011
The winter ice took it down a hill and totaled that back in December. I replaced her with a 2002 ES300 AKA the ES330. flawless interior, lexus repainted, 175K, I was sold
After 2.5 months with my ES I can conclude the car is not as high quality as my 1991 LS400 was and I do not enjoy it as much as my LS.
This is disappointing but not the worst thing in the world, I will sell the ES to someone who loves ES's and Camry's as it is in near mint condition and find a LS400 to call my own again.
If anyone wants to know specific differences and advantages or disadvantages for the ES VS. LS I am more than happy to share! I have numerous comparisons and tests I performed on my own and recorded while I owned both vehicles. I put 3,000 miles on my LS while owning and 2,000 miles on my ES while owning including 2-4 hour trips.
I am going to be glad to have this community back for support.
Know anyone near or in Ohio selling an LS? lemme know!
Cheers!

Thats Cool
Leaving a Fairly New Lexus to drop back into the old LS's.
I love my 92 LS400 and people ask all the time as what it is and think its much newer than it is.
"Oh, I thought at least 2000"

quite frankly I would rather have an older car with a bullet proof drivetrain that is higher quality overall than a shiny new car aka my ES... age doesn't matter one bit.
My 1991 had zero things wrong with it electrically and mechanically after almost 21 years while my es is not going to hit 21 gracefully...
