Question Steering

I have alot of back and forth play in my steering,what could be the problem?

If by back and forth play, you mean that when you wiggle the steering wheel slightly on the highway and don't feel the respective minute changes in the car's direction, then it most likely means that the tie rods are worn out. It could also be from worn out ball joints or suspension bushings so check them all out and replace what's worn out. Also, make sure to get an alignment if the tie rods are changed because they control the toe.

im getting back and forth play no matter how fast im moving. Is there a bushing in the steering that could be worn out?

as suggested above,,worn ball joints could be a problem, as the LS is almost notorious for going thru them. And to answer your question, YES there is a bushing in the steering rack that could be worn out as well. having the chr as least checked out for some of the suspension components,, will help to eliminate some of the possible problems. Alignment is always a good idea as well.
