Thinking of making an offer on a project LS
So in my garage there is an LS 400 (VIN is covered so can’t get a good look at it, but guessing it’s 1994 or older) that is in some serious need of TLC. Tags were last renewed 8 years ago, flats all around, front quarter panel needs replacing (hit something, all the damage is just around the driver turn signal so don’t think any frame damage), a layer of dust that weighs as much as the car.
If the title is clean was thinking of making a lowball offer and fixing it up and using it as a daily.
So A) is it even worth it?
B) Anything I should be on the lookout for (features wise or maintenance wise)
C) Any ballpark on price (thinking $400? For all the work and past due registration it needs)

Can you get any history on the car from the owner? Miles on car. Considering it hasn't been a registered my presumption would be that the engine will not run at all. If it does, all fluids, timing belt and thorough inspection of the dried out rubber suspension bits. Then tack in the obvious damage and an ECU cap repair.
Any pics? I would see if they'd donate it, $400 seems high unless the car is in reasonable shape.
