My 99 LS tried to commit suicide by drowning!
Strange, I thought I was taking good care of my LS. I didn't know that it was suffering from depression! Day before yesterday we had a big thunder storm in the late afternoon. With lots of lighting and lots of rain. The next day I find that my fine auto had put it's windows all the way down as well as opening the sunroof! Usually it stays under cover with a roof over it's head but I was at my cabin and no such luxuries were available. It must have been mad at me and became despondent.
I know that there is a way somehow to open all the windows and sunroof with the remote but I haven't ever used it. You think I should just try pampering it a little more or is there another answer besides it just having suicidal tendencies?
I am giving it CPR by leaving it's doors open and drying it out. Nice drying days yesterday and today. Low humidity.
Any suggestions?

I think you might be right. I think it will dry out all right. I will say that the leather felt a little more supple on the drive home. Drove with windows down for 150 miles.
One strange thing.... All the doors were locked!

Happens from time to time to members, most often explained by the reason Billy mentions above. Not sure on your model year, but on most later model Lexus even if you do the unlock-rolldown on the remote, if you don't open the door in a minute or two, they will re-lock. Actually, I'm pretty sure it did it on my 98 LS400 so probably does on yours as well.
Link above will get you some advice on drying out
