Brakes are squeaking 2 months after I changed my pads?
I changed all four of my pads about 2 months ago and recently they started squeaking. I took them to a shop to get them looked at but they could not find anything. Basically they squeak when I first brake but if I let go and brake again the squeak goes away. Does anyone know what would be causing this? I drive a 93 ls400 btw..

Yes the shop did install the brake pads. The shop I took it to today said the previous shop did a good job. They did say cheap pads can cause a problem but they are the regular ceramic pads from kragen so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the help. I will try that out. I know I do not need to resurface the rotors as they checked those and everything is straight. Lets hope this works so I don't have to spend a couple hundred dollars on new rotors and pads..

Properly lubricate the pads, shims, and contact points and it will solve your squeak. A squeak is a very fast vibration boys. Dampen the vibration and you solve the squeal....

I do not know how to do it but I have a mechanic that i've worked with for a while that does the work for me. If none of this fixes it then I will just swap out everything. Just gotta do research to see what the best rotors and pads are for a good price that won't empty my pockets.

with any brake job, you need to replace all the hardware and lube the pads on the hardware mating surfaces.
have the pads warrantied out and have new hardware installed. 2 months isnt long enough to consider disc run-out,so the rotors do not need to be machined.
