Anyone have any ideas on a car killing when given gas
I have a problem whit my car killing when I give it gas. I look at it a couple days ago and found I had a exhaust leak,it was leaking gas ( unburn fuel or cause my brother was flooding the car trying to start it). It ran till i turn it off or till i gave it gas ( kill around 1700rpm). Getting ready to check on it tomorrow i wanted to know some things to look for. Help ya boy!

I can tell you exactly what to look for. Everything that has already been mentioned to you to check. You keep asking the same thing over and over again for 5 months. Have you checked anything yet? Timing, fuel pressure, coils, wires, plugs, ECU. You said you were gonna bring it to the dealer, did you? What do you mean by it was leaking fuel? From the exhaust? When it starts does it take a while to start or does it start up quick?

I check the rpms at idle its 600rpm i think it not getting enough air it run and white smoke come coming out the exhaust like it just gas and a lil air. And I got a ecu from the junk yard today but its w/o trac (different part numbers but same year) and it not giving no codes. I wanted to see if my ecu was bad, they both probably be bad.

I still think it's a timing issue like maybe the belt jumped a tooth. Did you ever check the (3) timing marks? You can see the cam marks in #28 in this http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/engine/timingbelt.html
Did you put the plug wires on correctly? The routing diagram is #23 of this. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/ignition/sparkplugs.html
You said you changed the rotors in one of your threads, I don't remember which one but, did you put them on right? There has been many guys that put them on 180* off. Hopefully something here will help ya out. Check those timing marks first.

I check the timing it been change before it have a Napa belt but I don't see no white dots that line up with cam line or any other line. But I did unhook a few things to see if there's a different. I took off the ignition control module and it didn't have a effect on how the car run (if you standing on the side of the car its the one on the left), I'm gonna get one from the junk yard and see what it do.
