Unhappy Help removing rear axle carrier

I have a 94 ls400 with 130Kmiles. Alas I now have a bad wheel bearing. I unbolted everything from the rear axle carrier so I just had to take it in and get the new bearing pressed in. Why pay someone to do it if you can do it yourself right? But after unbolting everything the parking brake cable is still connected to the rear carrier Do I have to remove the parking brake shoes to disconnect this? thanks for the help.

Probably so, should not be that hard if I remember correctly. Been a while, but loosen it up a little and slide the dog out from the fork.
