Maybe your parking brake shoes are getting worn. If so, you can adjust the shoes so that they are closer to the inside of the rotor, that should help.

Tommy,

To adjust the parking brake firmness, you need to remove the rear tires. On the rear rotors...both sides...there is a dime-sized rubber grommet covering a hole next to the wheel bolts. Remove the grommet. Use a flashlight and a flat head screwdriver, adjust the mini spindle wheel to tighten. Make sure to count how many times you turn it...and do the same on the other wheel.

I forgot which way is to tighten or loosen...up or down...i guess its trial by error...lol.

If I find it in my service manual, I'll post it up.

Goodluck.

Pete
