Subwoofer grille rattling!
I have a 2000 ls400. The rear deck subwoofer is making the grille rattle. i know there is nothing wrong with the subwoofer because when i take the grille out it sounds fine. the only way to stop the rattling is if i put force on the middle of the grill.
Has anyone every fixed this problem while still having the grille on?

Mine rattles too - '93 with 1,000 watts & 2-12" subs in a ported box in the trunk. For now I just pulled the grill back and it's sitting on the rear dash so the tailight can still be seen & grill no longer rattles. But it's also not secured. When I have time I plan to try it back in place with some rubber or weatherstripping between window and grill & see how that works. I've heard from others it worked for them,

Fixed
I had this issue. Took the grill off the sub and poked around, couldn't find anything wrong with the sub. Then with the music on I wedged my fingers between the third brake light housing and the glass, sound gone. So I just wedged some rubber material between the housing and glass. Sounds perfect again...
