Default transmission ecu question

does anyone know if the ecu for the transmission is different for the 90-92 ls than it is for the 93-94? i know the engine ecu's are, but not sure about the transmission ecu's. id like to get an extra transmission ecu to disect for a project im gonna try.

The engine ecu and controls the transmission also. There isn't a seperate ecu for the trans.

on supras and cressidas its a seperate ecu. just figured its mounted under a seat or something. in supras its on the passeneger side next to the rear seat behind ther panel. so your sure its the same ecu for the engine and trans? seems kinda odd considering how toyota usually does things.

the 1uz all (afaik) use a combined engine/trans ecu.

the 93 vs 92 and before have one different plug near the drive shaft on the left hand side, i think its because of the added fluid temp sensor. I am currently swapping motors, and will put a list of difference i ran into, i had to modify the trans plug hopefully it works!
