Question about using LS430 wheels/rims on an LS400
I'm thinking about buying LS430 knock off wheels for my 1998 LS400 (link below shows rims... can't afford the real thing). The rims are the same size and shape as real LS430 rims (18 x 7.5). I've seen LS430 rims used on several LS400s, but I had a couple of questions about them...
1. Will LS430 rims fit on a '98 LS400 without having to use spacers to clear the front calipers? In other words... will they bolt right on?
2. What size tires would I need?
-Would I go up to 235 (instead of stock 225) so they stick out further to protect them from curbs... or is that too big for the rim?
-And would 50 be the correct size for the profile (since I'm going from 16" to 18")?

Thanks in advance for your help!

2. 245/45-18 is the "correct" size but honestly is a tiny bit too big and chunky.
225/45-18 is what i would recommend for stock LS wheels on a 2LS, especially if you plan on lowering the car. 235/45-18 can be done if you wish, but the tire is much more expensive due to it being an odd size.

JeffsLS400,
That link is OE Wheels Ebay site... They're selling those exact same rims on their own web site for $43.00 less than they're listed on Ebay. Must be charging more to cover the Ebay fees. Here's their direct link... BTW, the center caps that come with these are junk. You'll need to buy a set of four aftermarket L cap knock offs...
Here's a link to these rims on OEWheelsllc... http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo.../tc304402-3-1/
Here's a link to some aftermarket Lexus branded caps that will work well with those rims... http://compare.ebay.com/like/1705732...=263602_304662
