Default Has anyone had to use their First Aid Kit. I Just Did

This past weekend family and friends were at lake far from the city. A teenager was walking without shoes/sandals and what do you know, he stepped into glass and sustained deep cut on the bottom of his foot . This kid was bleeding pretty heavy and no one had anything besides towels to properly bandage this kid. All of the sudden I remember I had a First Aid Kit in the LEX. I Proly opened the thing once when I bought the car several yrs back. There were bandages and alcohol pads that were dry but at the time it was we had to treat this kid before he was taken to the hospital for stitches. All of the sudden, I was getting free beer and barbecued for the rest of the day from everyone. The kit definitely came in handy. There is no doubt I will be restocking the kit with new alcohol pads and other bandages as U never know when you'll need it.

I used it the other day for a friend who sliced a finger open. In fact, I've used it on myself before for the same. I love reading the guide about how to deal with amputated limbs haha.

i bought a junkyard seat once with the first aid kit included. i threw away the original seat and had two first aid kits as a result. so i used some of the bandages and the first aid ointment from the kit not in the car for minor cuts and abrasions that resulted from wrenching on the car. I've beaten my hands up really badly this year on my car. between everything involved in changing a transmission, doing the suspension, brakes, tie rod end, a battery relocation, a supercharger installation, and a timing belt, the kit (and other kits) have seen regular use. And my hands remain scarred. fk
