Inexpensive Break Rotors
I was quoted:
Front pads: $70 pair
Rear pads: 70 pair
Front rotors: 291 pair
Labor: 212
TOTAL: $643
He uses OEM Lexus parts.
I've seen after market rotors down to $40 a pair.
How cheap can you go to get comparable quality to stock discs?
What about rotors for the rear? I wan't recommeded any (nor did he inspect them) Are they drum breaks? Do drum breaks use pads?

imho best oem quality blanks for our cars are the brembo blanks. me and several other members who've run them have had a great run with them and no problems. plus they're roughly half the cost of the OEM rotors.
That being said, i have used cheaper R1Concepts rotors (blanks) on a couple other cars and havent had any problems.

Thanks guys.
But I'm looking for something less expensive than OED. But at least of the same quality. I'm only going to keep the car another year and then sell/junk it.
Any recommendations?

I am perfectly happy with my wearever brand (advance auto store brand) rotors and pads.. they where about $120 total (per axle).... there is no vibration and they stop great! The pads came with a full set of hardware and clips. Doing pads and rotors is REALLY simple.. you could even buy all the tools and still come out ahead... All four wheels are rotors...
