Some things just quit functioning.
I bought my 1993 LS400 a week ago and it had none of the problems it now has, as of two days ago. All windows just quit working, the sunroof quit working, and the steering wheel adjuster quit working. I replaced the master window switch to no avail and replaced the 120 Amp fusible link. I checked all fuses and replaced one which didn't fix the problem. What could it be?
Climate control, gauge cluster, radio, door locks, and seats all work perfectly.

Let me clarify... the windows never work, up or down, the steering wheel tilt is completely dead, and the sunroof switch does nothing. This isn't something sporadic.

I went back over the fuses and relays and still can't seem to find any bad ones. Maybe the wiring randomly decided to fry, or could this be a result of a bad trunk wiring harness?

The only common component affecting all the items you describe (plus you will find the seatbelt height adjusters don't work either) is circuit breaker number 30 located in the drivers side kick panel fusebox, there are 3 of them and to reset first turn off the ignition then if you look there is a small hole in the top of the breaker, insert a toothpick or similar non metallic probe in the hole and push gently, you should hear a click as it resets.
Hopefully this will sort your problem but if it trips again you have an abnormal load on the circuit causing it to trip which will need further investigation.

Thanks Steve! I messed with those three oval fuses under the driver's side kick panel and the windows, steering wheel tilt, and sunroof now work except for the driver's window, which is probably due to a bad switch or window motor. Either way, thanks so much!
