Compression test instructions
Does anyone have instructions on how to perform a compression test on a 90LS it would be greatly appreciated. I fear that I may have a blown gasket and I need to see whats going on. My baby seems like shes studders when I'm just sitting there(like at a light or something right before you hit the gas to accelerate) but after I hit the gas I dont feel anything. Also I'm burning oil like crazy(no leak). I can go like less then 70 miles and my oil light will come on. uhhhhhhh please help if you can....
Thanks,
Calz

Make sure you either pull all the plugs out, or leave them all in. Do not do a compression test with some plugs in and some out, the resistance must be universal across all plugs, otherwise you get inaccurate readings. I hope this makes sense.

If you leave them all in, make sure you take the wires off the coils so the car doesn't start...

make sure the car is at operating temperature and hold the throttle wide open with the EFI fuse pulled. crank the motor over for a few seconds, read gauge, go to next cylinder.
