Default Shift Indicator Replacement

My guess is the PO must have spilt some liquid that got under the shift indicator plastic cover. Any idea how to go about disassembling / fixing / replacing that piece? Every site (Sewell, L-Tunedpart, Parts.com, etc...) I've looked at lacks any detail or part numbers for this shift indicator and what parts are available.

Thanks

you can get it all apart but it is a REAL pain in the @$$ since you have to make sure not to break any of the plastic clips on the side.

i THINK you can buy the clear shifter plate and the letters behind it for <$100 but i'd hafta check.
part numbers are:
35921-50010 control position indicator plate
35971-50010 upper position indicator housing

i'd try taking it all apart (CAREFULLY) and cleaning it first.
