Received my poly strut rod bushings today for 1LS.
Last Friday I ordered me some new poly strut rod bushings (cushions) for my '94 from a company called "PRI Racing" in the UK, seeing that the stealer here in Canada is asking for freaking $240CA ($200US) PER SIDE for the replacements.
I haven't seen any other manufacturers who make poly replacement for this bushing so I figured I'd give you guys a look at what these are like.
This kit was £154 ($240US) and includes bushings for both sides.
I figured poly should last longer than the rubber ones which seem to have a tendency to go out ever 80,000 or so.
The kit is from an Australian company called "Fulcrum Suspensions" who seem to be partnered with Tien. Their poly bushings sell under the "SuperPro" name.
The kit includes 2 of the bushings, 2 metal tubes, 4 huge washers for the outsides of both bushings, as well as 6 bolts and nuts for mounting them and 16 washers for those also. There is also the required grease and a geeky sticker with the company logo.
The kit looks and feels like it is excellent quality so I look foward to seeing what these feel like (if any change at all) compared to my cracking OEMs.
I plan on installing by the weekend so at that point I'll post some feedback on the feel and fit of these bad boys.

Umm ,those don't look like they fit on an LS400 ?
The 400 ones are just round and have to be inserted into the existing rods. Those look like they are supposed to bolt on to something and the LS has nothign for them to bolt to.

1LS and 2LS are different.
What you are describing is correct for 2LS but the 1LS design ends with a bolt that mounts through the subframe and the bushing is bolted through that hole with the rod attaching to the bushing through the hole in the bushing...
This will explain it...

So i completed the install today and it went well.
There is definitely a huge difference in the feel of braking and acceleration.
The car feels much tighter in braking and especially when switching quickly from accelerator to brake. I'd describe the feeling as being more...decisive; like the car is more willing to respond to the change I asked for.
Overall I'm extremely pleased with the result especially considering the cost and the ease of the install. These poly bushings should also last longer than the OEM ones seeing that the rubber ones seem to die quite a few times in the car's lifetime.
Old cushion removed... (wetness is liquid wrench soak from 2 days ago).
New cushion installed...

how much was shipping? did you have to pay the 15% vat? i'm in the process of rebuilding my suspension. was it easy install? it looks pretty self explanatory
the cheapest i could find oem's for was $125 a peice. if these last forever and cost about the same its a no brainer.

This was my bill with shipping to Canada.
As you can see no VAT was charged.
Goods total (ex vat) £153.93
Shipping total (Standard shipping) £22.00
VAT (15%) £0.00
Order total £175.93
Install was easy, I just made sure to presoak my salt-rusted Canadian nuts with PB blaster a couple days ahead. Never even needed to use any power tools.
