Megan Install Trouble.
Hey guys im installing my megans, and ran into some serious trouble. i got the rears done and the instant i let them down of the jack they were sitting on my tires.
Im running rays gt-7s 20# by 9.5 in the rear. I took the wheels off raised them up quite a but but it still sits on the fender??? Am scared to do the fronts right now but have the stock wheels on and there clearing fine.
Any ideas?

they're set pretty short so they can ship them in a smaller box. you usuallyhave to lengthen them for a street car....
make sure you're turning the actual threaded body part in (or out) of the silver colored base. don't change where the spring sits on teh threaded part.

why did you take the ubj apart? not realy necessary, but anyway, to keep it from spining, take along pry bar, and pry the uca down to apply pressure to the ball joint in the socket, which will keep it from spinning while you tighten it.

tucking tire is easy part......i'll get some pics up in a couple weeks
OP- to keep the ball joint from spinning i like to put everything together, and just rest the stud in the hole with the nut on it, not tightened, then take a jack and jack up the lower spindle to put some load on the suspension components and you should be able to tighten to your heart (or torque wrench)'s content

well currently i havent toyed with it that much so the ride is ALOT stiffer. But i love the huge handling gains, partly due to the fat rubber also.
Ive got about a 1 inch gap right now between top of the tire and bottom of the fender..
....But Im going to be trying to find a place to cut/or roll the fenders as well as pull them. Then im gonna drop it more. But the CO roads just blow :[
