Default Injectors

I did a brief search on these boards under our section, and the threads I read linked me to Lexextreme (or whatever) where I could upgrade my fuel injectors.

That's not what I'm going for at all - I just need a replacement for my stock ones that are on their way out.

I have heard that I am able to use injectors from a 7M Supra (non-turbo) motor as well as rebuilding the stock ones I have now.

So, my questions for you are below:

1) Considering I could get 8 new injectors at ($135 a piece) and that's WAY too expensive for me, what are my other alternatives for other OEM or aftermarket (not performance) injectors?

2) When it comes to rebuilding/cleaning, is there a particular tutorial that is posted up explaining the process as well as what parts/products are used?

Thanks a lot guys.

why not have them cleaned?

The cheap way out is to buy a cheap sonic jewelry cleaner and put the injectors in that. Or, you can send them out to be cleaned by a pro who can give you a output (before and after) on a sheet of paper.

http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...r_services.php

These guys are popular with the Subaru crowd. I used their injector services on some used STi pink injectors I bought when i upgraded the turbo on my old WRX. They looked brand new when I got them back and they worked like a dream. Give them a shot if you have no other cheaper alternatives.

Oh nice...I like that idea.

So I am having this funny pinging sound coming from my motor (almost sounds like valve tic), so I had a few buddies look at it and half say it's valve tick and the others say it's really dirty injectors. The car is sluggish at times, but not too bad.

I really need to post up a video and get some input from you guys.

Anyone have issues like this before?

My 1UZ ticks. It's just worn valve bucket shims. It's harmless for your motor, just a bit noisy.

The sluggishness could indicate that you are in need of a tune up.

A video would definitely help!
