If any of you guys who are upgrading would be willing to do so, I'm looking for a clean left outer lens (stock) to replace my cracked one. I got one on eBay I thought was decent but ended up being scratched up pretty bad...argh.
I'd consider changing mine out to LED but I don't have the $$.
Shoot me a PM if you'd be willing to part with your OEM unit.
Thanks in advance.

I have seen many poor young guys wasting money here replacing to LED tail lights without knowing the facts. Most of those lights sold these days here are not made in Japan any more. They are coming from nearby countries and the quality is terrible.
Some of the LEDs in the unit fail soon as well as the water comes in. Some units last longer, but the surface of the plastic becomes yellowish or not clear damaged by the UV energy from the Sun. You'd better stay away from those.

Not only the electronics but the fit varies. When I see LED, it is a tip to say they are most likely eBay tail lights for $300. The stock tails are . If you have to have LED's, find an electronics whiz and have the OEM's modified. In past times there were a few companies doing them up in Japan, but I don't know how it is these days.
These are nice.

If you've never heard of them, they are a used parts shop with locations throughout Japan with everything from aero kits to wheels and they've recently started shipping overseas. When I lived over there from '03-'07 that was my spot. Anyway, after several e-mails back and forth the price for a set of used Bragas (made in Japan) was Y12,800 plus another Y8,000 for fedex shipping (right around $200). I paid via paypal and got them yesterday.
Unfortunately, test fit revealed that they don't fit. I thought they sent me lights for a Gen 1 LS-400, but when I contacted them they explained that on the mid-year 1998 JDM Celsior there was a slight change to the trunk lid light cluster (the square piece) making them larger. This light fits the earlier smaller style from 95-97? Ironically, the other lights (turn signals) fit perfectly.
So far they have been really good about this and we are now working out replacing or refunding the item; they are checking their stock at all shops to see if they have the right ones. We'll see how this turns out. In the meantime I am resisting the temptation to mod them to fit. As you can see - it would just be a matter of drilling two new holes and figuring out a way to cover the approx. 1.5" gap at the end with something that doesn't look ghetto-homemade.
