Hard to start 92 LS400
hard to start 1992 LS 400
Easy to start - no drive for 3 days
Easy to start - if i stop it when hot (30 mins drive)then restart straight away or say up to 5 minutes it will go staright away perfect, but feel it doesn't start with all the cylinders and if I don't put gas, sometime it will just stall.
3 to 5 sec to start - no drive with 1 day
10 sec plus to start- after 30 mins drive and stop for 5 mins to 12 hrs
The longer it take to start the more white smoke come out.
Done the following
Check - fuel pressure -ok
Replace - fuel filter
Replace - spark plugs
Replace - spark plugs wire
Replace - battery
Clean - throttle body
Use - Fuel Injector Cleaner
Scanner reading
No code
Temperature is around 86 C (mechanic told me, it shold be around 95 C)

i dont quite understand why it would be easy to start after three days, without driving, but if you drive it and stop for a while.
are you saying that it is harder to start when its been sitting longer? or is it harder to start after its been stopped right away?

Have the oil and filter been changed regularly with quality oil? Sludge in your oil will make starting difficult.
My 96 LS400 has a full Lexus main agent service history and at 150k miles, there was definitely sludge in the oil pan and dark deposits in the head. I can only conclude that even Lexus use cr*p oil. I promptly changed to 5W30 fully synthetic. The car starts easier and all vibration is now gone, even when started from stone cold.

Mine starts rough too when you hear the starter turning over repeatedly, also when left standing for a few hours on end. I seafoamed the car and it starts a little better, and my next step is to replace what I think are the original spark plugs and wires.
