Question HELP. Clicking noise in engine.

Sometimes, the clicking noise gets worse as I hit the gas pedal.

And we just serviced the car too........for $1,000!

Suggestions of problems?

Need help ASAP since taking to dealer at 9am tomarrow.

Thanks

My guess is either the exhaust manifold gaskets gone bad, or the valves in need of adjustment.

what kind of service was done for $1000?

Does it happen when the engine is hot or cold or both?

You need to recalibrate the valves. Seems like common problem.

UPDATE:

1) they said the "clicking noise" is NORMAL for the injectors.

2) They said the "throttle position sensor" isn't working: $321

3) the "EGR: Engine Gas recirculation" diameter of thumb and 15' is cracked: $821!

gotta go, but more problems and more $$$$

WOW.

Sorry to hear your car needs more stuff. I don't understand about the injector noise. I don't think the injector noise should be louder than engine noise. You shouldn't be able to hear the injectors clicking noise echoing off parked cars!
