Default good buy or stay away?

1995 LS400 black on black 178,000 miles. has nakamichi, full size spare and active suspension. the hood, roof and truck needs repainting but since i'm not a painter, its really not an issue. i'll eventually repaint the whole car. car's last major service at lexus was with 133,000 miles. this includes timing belt, water pump and whatever else is included in the service. also flushed all the fluids. he also did all the regular servicing in between. the guy is the second owner and he bought it with 90,000 miles. commutes about 25 freeway miles each way to/from work. some cracking on the front seats but no tears or rips. (seems to me the cracking is nore appearant on black leather anyways). brakes pads and tires need to be changed out. there is also a small leak from somewhere in the power steering system. the guy said he adds fluid once a month. this will be a daily driven vip project. i'm 95% sold but please someone talk me out of buying this car for $5000, haha.

If you look around for a while a much better lexus will come along with lower mileage and in better shape for 10,000 dollars and even a lower cost can be found but you have to look for it. It's out there good luck hunting.

RUN AWAY!

UNLESS:
-the active suspension has been changed, this is notorious for leaking/going out (although not as common as the 1st gen) and the OEM replacements are ~$1,000/EACH (need 4).
-he lowers the price by a grand (coming down to $4,000) because a timing belt/waterpump will be neeeded at 180,00 (right now) and you do NOT want to wait on this, the 95-97 was indeed an interference car.

at the very most, i wouldnt give him $3000-$3500 assuming that the A/S was fresh since i would have to drop $$ on the brakes, the TIRES, and the TB/WP (last two will eat ur wallet)
