the car has about 197000 miles on it only problem is that sometime everything is fine then all the warning lights come on (oil light,brake light, charging light, etc.) i also notice that when driving at night the head lights flickers, and when that happens the lights on the radio and gear shift flickers also, this has been going on for about 1 year, check the connection to the battery and it looks fine
plz help.

It sounds like you have a grounding issue somewhere.

i just had the same problem. like the warning lights would come on, then i would give it a little gas, then they go off. until one day my car just stopped on me. battery was dead and the problem was that power steering fluid dripped into my altenator.

sounds like the self-destruct mechanism trying to kick on. Rare, but it occasionally happens. Unless a sexy female voice starts counting backwards from 30 though, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

In all seriousness tho... I agree, it sounds like either a grounding issue or your alternator is ready to bite the big one.

I would worry, it is the PS pump leaking on the alternator shorting it out. It only leads to more headaches if not fixed.
