Can Crunching Sound When Brakeing At Low Speed!?!?!?
Hello ~
I have a 1994 LS 99,000 miles on it and I have just noticed today when brakeing, then when movieg forward I applied the brakes and when I do I hear this sound from under the car that sounds like a soda can being crunched , what could this be ??? If anyone has any idea please post. The sound comes when both in reverse and in drive, Hope someone knows .
Thanks,
Paul

I habe that same problem also, almost like a grinding noise. annoys the ***** outta me..what I do is spray water on it and it happens to me when I'm going downhill or when I brake fast.

Actually, I had the same problem but only from the front brakes. Turned out to be the front pad shims. Dealer put on new pads at 30K but left the old shims on. After about 8K they started crunching. This could be the solution for you.

Regarding the grinding noise. Mine does the same thing. Dealer says it is normal and called glazing. I have owned many luxury cars and Lexus is the only only one that has had noisy brake problems with factory pads. Considering replacing with ceramic pads.
