1992 Lexus LS 400 interior parts questions
Howdy Everyone,
I am looking to upgrade my interior replacing some worn out materials and some needed repairs. I would appreciate suggestions and advice. Thanks
1.Where can i get some replacement speaker covers on the door?? Someone tried to steal my speakers and when they saw they were OEM moved on. They cut into them with something sharp and now they look ghetto.
2.When my radio antennae lowers it makes a grinding noise. Does the mechanism inside the trunk need replacing or is there another solution??
3.I would like to replace my steering wheel cover and gear shift leather, both are badly worn or replace it with a wooden steering wheel.
Will the 95+ fit on a 1992 and does anyone know somewhere I can get high-quality replacement steering wheel leather parts??

Aka,
1. Speaker covers- either a dealer, junkyard or buy from someone parting out an LS. Check the classified section here.
2. Grinding noise- does your antenna still lower and raise at all. Sound like the band inside of the shaft itself has broken, but your motor is still operating. Mine did the same thing, just too lazy to fix it. Is a pretty easy fix, if you are handy with tools. there is a thread here somewhere, I will see if I can locate it for you. Here ya go,,,,http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/audio/powerantenna.html
3. new leather foi wheel and shifter- Dont think the later model ones will fit our first gens. You could try here,, www.wheelskins.com. A buddy of mine used these people for his 93 SC400 and the end result came out amazing. Just slightly,, and I do mean slightly off color, but still amazing none the same.
