Vehicle speed sensor. Need to locate!
Hello ppl. I'm trying to locate the vehicle speed sensor on my 1992 ls400 . I need to find it pretty quick here cause im getting a double din with navi installed and it requires a connection to the VSS . Any help would be highly appreciated!
Thnx in advance.

You may need to visit a dealer (to get a print out) since there are multiple VSS's (on engine, transmission, rear hub, etc.). Unless you can get somebody here with a factory manual to email you? I have a 1995 factory manual - not sure if they would be the same.

My 2000 LS400 speedmeter works only when I drive faster or take a little time to start. Odometer and other distance meters all working fine. What is the reason for speedmeter stop working in the beginning?
My car has low mileage only over 80,000 miles.

haha way to dig up an old thread at least you searched.
So, when you first start the car it sticks and doesn't want to work but after driving a while it works fine? Seems like a sticking speedometer in really hot weather, this year was the first year my 96 did that a few weeks ago, the tach and speedometer would not show any current RPM/ Speed until a few minutes after driving. From what i know, it's a normal thing for the LS. It'll go away eventually when cooler weather comes around.
